Every time we set up the Tentsile hammock we get asked about what it is, where we bought it, how we like it, and how much it costs.
So I started putting together this blog post recapping all of the frequently asked questions. I appreciate everyone’s interest and the positive energy you’ve all shared with us.
It’s a work in progress.
Where can you buy a Tentstile Hammock?
You can shop for Tentsile Hammocks on Amazon.
I’ve also put together a mini shop on this site linking to the best Tensile products on Amazon. Hope this helps you get a jump start on your Tentsile journey.

How long does it take to setup?
Typically it takes us about 5 minutes to set up. But it all depends on the trees available. At South Point Park, in Miami Beach, we have a few spots perfected. So we’re able to set it up in under 5 minutes. When we’re at a new spot with plenty of trees, it takes about 5 minutes. You should expect to go through some rounds of trial and error while you work on finding the right anchor points. The ratchet strap lines are pretty long. I’m always surprised at how far away the anchor trees are when we finally get it right.
How heavy is it?
The Tentsile Stingray (the one you probably saw us on) is surprisingly light. Most of the weight comes from the ratchet strap attachments. We find it easy to throw it in a normal size backpack and still have room for other essentials like a water bottle, snacks, portable speaker, and a sweatshirt.
